Support Vote For Justice!
Hi, my name is Tracy Justice and I believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and engaging neighbors within the community to get involved in local government.
My intention is to galvanize, redefine, and retain local community values where we, "neighbors" keep decision making local by the way we vote. I’m running for a seat with the Washington Township Board in Hendricks County, State Convention Delegate and Precinct Committeewoman, Washington 10 for the Republican party.
Our family moved to Avon in January of 2016. Between my husband and I, we have 5 children: 2 attending Avon Schools, 1 in college and 2 adult children. We have three grandsons and expecting another grandbaby this year.
One of my core values is community. I enjoy learning about our community, getting involved and meeting new people. I’m grateful to have been a part of my oldest son’s school PTO when White Oak was K-4 with a seedling program. That experience gave me the confidence to find more ways to get involved in our community. My past community engagements were with the Avon Community Heritage Festival board, Avon Parks, Recreation, and Beautification council, AUMC Mom2Moms, and most recently, the B&O Trails Association.
I'm active with the Avon Chamber of Commerce Committee (Public Policy, Ribfest '24), Oriole Advocates, Tri Kappa of Avon, Hendricks County Community Foundation Committees (Governance & DEI), IndySHRM Board of Director (Government Affairs), NAWBO-Indianapolis Committees (Government Affairs, Programs), Kingsway Community Leadership Council
Currently, I'm the CEO and founder of Be Bold Be You LLC, which is a skills-based HR strategies coupled with performance management design and planning consulting firm.
I'm bold enough to say that I'm the best person for this job! #RenaissanceRepublican
After spending some time working with many elected officials in our community regarding various policy issues, I've realized that it's one thing to complain about how things are going and it's another to get involved and see firsthand what's needed to impact change. I hope that regardless of what political party you belong to that you get involved in local government because it's the place where change can really begin. I also hope to be an example for our youth and even others in our community to believe in themselves and to not let stereotypes scare you from stepping up and making a real difference in our community.
Sometimes, we get so caught up in what's going on nationally, that we forget that most national leaders begin locally. In regard to our community here in Washington Township, Hendricks County, I feel that there needs to be better checks and balances in place.
Let's stop the "groupthink" and challenge the decisions that are being made to ensure it's truly what's best for the community and not for personal interests.
Let's truly make an effort to involve the community's voices and not have public meetings in silos to quickly get things through.
Let's stop re-electing "career" officials who think they have the monopoly in this community and let's be informed about who the candidates really are and understand why they're running.
Let's be mindful of how the community is growing and find innovative and inclusive ways to include the growing population in the decision-making process.
